The Workshop: 3 hours
- The pelvis dynamically balances on the hip joints, and its alignment key to finding balance, core strength and effective breathing.
- Dynamic pelvic balance is also essential for the protection of the lower back, sacroiliac joints, hip joints, knee joints and neck.
- We will review the anatomy and kinesiology of the pelvis and apply it in asana and functional movement.
- We will explore how to modify asanas and movements that are painful, hesitant, uncomfortable or breathless by learning to initiate from a place of pelvic balance.
- We will explore how to feel the moment of strength and ease that indicates clear internal alignment, and how to make it accessible to yoga students.
- All the learning will be hands on, embodied, tactile and visual.
